So thats all, the game is working fine for the moment, no crashes, no loading or saving issues.ĪutoSave=True and Steam Cloud Sync is also activated. (I also tried SavePath=C:\SaveGames) (worked too) Now i tried the following: I only changed one thing in the file:Ĭ:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\BioshockHD\Bioshock2\Bioshock2SP.ini With Bioshock 1 Remastered i did not have any issues. Bioshock is to the Shock games what Deadly Shadows is to the Thief games. >It's just a linear generic shooter So are Bioshock and Bioshock 2, they are a poor mans System Shock 2 dumbed down for console. Annoyingly it doesn't seem like the remasters are as open to tweaking so I guess we just have to wait and hope there's some good patches.> I had the problem, that when i saved a game and i wanted to load it afterwards, the game said: Could not load, save game corrupted.or something like this (playing the game in german so i don't know the english error message) i tried all I found on the internet to get rid of this, I also tried it with normal Bioshock 2, same problem. If I were you I would get Dishonored DLC + Bioshock 2 Remastered DLC. I really hope they can fix this, the atmosphere was kinda ruined in the opening swimming pool area without hearing the lovely echo of the music reverberating through the empty halls. The original did have some heavy reverb in parts but it felt right there, here I think you're correct in saying it's way too much (whenever it IS working). It feels like there's something wrong with the reverb volumes placed in the levels as well, since entering a different room after reverb is enabled makes it disappear again. Presumably it's trying to enable a different sound mix state so that UI sounds don't have reverb applied. Actually it seems like going in and out of ANY menu toggles reverb on or off. A much larger range of plasmid powers are now available, as well as more standard weapons and the Big Daddys iconic rivet gun and drill. Will try and find one of the old fixes back when this was a relatively new problem with some WWise-powered games and report back, but if anyone finds a specific cause/fix, I'd be very appreciative if you'd share. Running the audio chipset with Windows generic drivers (hdaudio.sys), will try and update to Realtek's crappy ones, but expect nothing to change. Gigabyte P67A-UD3P-B3 (has a Realtek ALC889 chipset) For anybody out there actively trying to fix this, my specs are: the remastered's and the classics aren't even opening anymore it just CTD whenever i run them. this sucks because i've completed bioshock 1 remastered and i was half way through the second one, i had to reinstall windows and after that they stopped playing. Plenty of people run games on onboard audio chips and statistically speaking, most of them are from Realtek. Then I installed Bioshock 2 Remastered and it crashed too :( yeah same experience here. Enabled/disabled reverb, have yet to dive into INI's but to be quite honest, I really shouldn't have to. I'm running a 2.1 speaker setup on a Realtek onboard soundchip, checked multiple speaker setups in the game to see if one would "take" but none seem to work (not even mono). Turning Delta so the source of the audio is directly to my sides or back changes the volume somewhat, sometimes for the better, usually for the worse. A splicer's regular speaking voice from across an enormous hallway sounds as if he's screaming into my ear, but once he runs up next to me and fires his weapon a soft, almost unhearable and disappointing "pop" comes out. The stereo mix is a total disaster on my setup. Guess the old bugs return with the remaster.
